ADULT DAY SERVICES (EUREKA) Caring for a family member with early dementia? We can help.
Transportation is a major challenge for children and adults with disabilities. In Butte and surrounding counties, families turn to Easter Seals for help in getting to medical appointments, travel to school and jobs and running essential errands. For some Far Northern families, it is the CASS program that makes the difference in their ability to achieve self-sufficiency and independence. SOCIAL RECREATION Easter Seals offers a wide range of social recreation opportunities for adults with disabilities to interact with one another and integrate into community life. These activities include the Spring Formal Dinner and Dance in Marin County and our Annual Day on the Bay sailing event. Other activities such as aquatic swimming in the warm water pool in Eureka happen throughout the year. Please contact Kristin Johnson for Sonoma or Marin activity information at 707.584.1443 or email kjohnson@noca.easterseals.com and Leah Thompson for Eureka activities at 707.445.8841 or email mailto:707.445.8841lthompson@noca.easterseals.com.

EQUIPMENT LOAN PROGRAM Easter Seals' Equipment Loan program is a godsend to many seniors who are critically ill or temporarily disabled. It is an affordable alternative to purchasing equipment that is often beyond the reach of families financially or impractical because it is needed only for a short time. Inventory varies by location and depends on storage availability. However, most sites have canes, walkers, bath benches and commodes. Wheel chairs are often available as well. Please contact the following programs in your area: Cindy Fasano in Marin at 415.382.7450, Jacquie Irish in Sonoma at 707.584.1443 or Kathleen Cassidy in Eureka at 707.445.8841. |
